BEFORE THE TEST

  1. Make sure to take the test when you are healthy and rested (fatigue negatively affects test results).
  2. Do not drink alcohol and do not use other psychoactive substances for a day before the test.
  3. Bring:
  • Doctor's referral (if you have one)
  • Glasses/lenses if you need them
  • ID
  • Driver's license (in the case of drivers)

TEST

The process of evaluation differs depending on the position of the person undergoing the test. However, some stages are the same for everyone:

  1. The first part includes tests that identify the personality, temperament traits, mental fitness, concentration and multitasking skills.
  2. The second, rather technical, part is carried out using special equipment for checking psychomotor efficiency.

At the end of the test, a medical opinion is issued and there is a possibility to discuss the results.

We use a modern, computer-assisted psychological test system TEST2DRIVE for research.

These are unique tools that use touch and online technology.
TEST2DRIVE is a system that allows you to examine all key, legally required features and areas, while meeting all criteria for test goodness (tests are objective, standardized, reliable, accurate and standardized).
The entire study takes place on one computer station. We have 4 positions.

The system meets all the requirements set out in the Regulation of the Minister of Health of 8 July 2014 and is a tool recommended by the “Methodology for conducting psychological tests in the field of transport psychology” developed by the Motor Transport Institute.

Frequently asked questions:

How often should I undergo the test?

Drivers who carry out road transport, entrepreneurs who personally transport goods, and persons for their own needs and drivers employed by them (according to the act of 06.09.2001 on road transport) should undergo the test

  • every 5 years if they are under 60 years old
  • every 30 months if they are over 60 years old

Instructors, examiners, emergency vehicle drivers and tram drivers are obliged to undergo psychological tests every 5 years if they are under 65 years old and once a year when they are over 65 years old.

How long does the test take?

  • For drivers, it is ca. 45 minutes
  • for driving instructors, examiners and emergency vehicle drivers, it is also ca. 45 minutes
  • for machine operators and steeplejacks, it is ca. 30 minutes.

What does the evaluation interview look like?

During the interview, a psychologist asks you about different things depending on the purpose of the test, and then verifies the results. Drivers, for example, are asked about their work, about their routes, and about their reactions to different situations on the road. Drivers who had their license revoked for driving while intoxicated (alcohol or drugs) are asked whether they use such substances. Drivers who have lost their license due to exceeding the penalty points limit are asked about the circumstances and reasons for receiving them. In the case of the perpetrators of an accident, it is important to describe the whole accident. These are only some of the questions asked during the interview. Each conversation is individually adjusted to the particular person.
